3D Design
Prerequisite Ceramics 1&2, Sculpture
3D DESIGN The art course is an extension of Ceramics 2 and/ or Sculpture and is designed for the advanced student. It is for the highly motivated student with a serious interest in 3D design. The students will develop a high level of skill in either clay or other sculptural mediums, depending on their background. Students will research artists and present their findings to the group. Students will write a proposal for their body of work they hope to accomplish during the semester. Frequent student to student /teacher to student critiques will be used to assess progress. Requirements: Students will be expected to use the design process to develop their artworks. Students will plan, execute and reflect upon completed artwork. Outside research and independent planning is needed to supplement work in class. Students need to make good use of studio time and put in any extra time needed to complete assignments. Class culminates with a final presentation of work by each students as well as a written reflection of his/her progression and work. Offered: Fall/Spring Credited: Core |
